Description Yeah, stupid title. I was going to title it after the character's name, but he doesn't have one yet. :[

So, this is the second half of that RL commission. There were two parts to it; the kirby/metaknight thing, and to design him a fursona/character to be used in D&D. :]

Ooooh, boy, this one was tough. Anyway, since he didn't specify what he actually WANTED as a fursona, I basically decided to be all "creative" with it by combining his favorite creature with a centaur. (props if you actually guess what his favorite creature is...... no, it's not a wolf. )
Yeah, I'm never taking such a vague commission again. If you want to commission me, you'll have to provide either:
A) A written description of the character
B) A picture (either by yourself or someone else) of the character.

A note about the creature. This is just a summer version of it; in winter, he grows a long, all-white coat which makes him look a helluva lot more like what he's supposed to be. I just didn't do that because white is very tedious to shade. >.> The white fur will cover everything except for his hands, muzzle, and the area around the eyes. :]

....yeah, this is mostly the reason why you haven't seen anything from me in the past two months. I've been working on it every weekend since the middle of September - no joke. D:
-slow/anal artist, woooooo-

Oh, and on critiques, I'd prefer for it to be on the coloring. I -may- edit it before I give the piece to the commissioner if I have time to. =O
(coloring only, though. Can't edit the lineart now.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Time taken: too damn long.
Medium: Prismacolor colored pencils, white acrylic, white gel pen, etc.
Made on tan cardstock. :]

Awesome drawing you have here. I like it. Regarding about the commission comment you placed, I was wondering if you can do my fursona that I did. Here is the link for it which is [link] . Hope it helps. ^^ My fursona is a young dragontaur warrior(creature of light) who is also a master of the elements(..which you can notice by the staff he has).

Hey, thanks for showing interest in the commissions. I'll probably put up some sort of price list in my journal soon. It'll only be limited to "smaller" things since I only have a short winter break. though. :<

hot art, HOT I SAY. I absolutely flipping love your colouring, things look so 3D and round and stuff, it's unbelievably face melting! The anatomy is really well done thar too. You really need to teach me how to draw horses, I keep drawing Infamy with broken legs :B I'd totally commission you if I wasn't a poor moron, like most of the people on this site! ;D But brillliiiant work there, I'm all art happy now c8 <3

And I can't actually spot anything in the colouring to critique c8 It's all smoooooooth like a good milkshake!

Horses are like learning to draw anything else: you study/draw photographs of them until you can draw one half-decently. Or, if you're a lucky face, you study from real life horses. :B

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
And OMFG dude, you made me a happy little monkey by leaving a long comment. WIN.

Oooh, gorgeous critter. Not a bad design at all. The face reminds me a bit of a bear or a wolverine. Are either of those close?

The coloring looks great! I really like how you shaded the green part of the spear (is it some sort of spear?).

Somewhat, it's actually just some stupid little weapon that a friend and I designed. (spear-based)
It's not really "usable" as the people on Conceptart have informed me; but it's just meant for this picture.
Since the character is going to be used for D&D, he'll pretty much be using whatever weapon he can at the time. |D

Thank you. The coloring is a whole crap-load better in real life. I just realized that my scanner really did a kill-job on this piece. :\
All the edges are so jagged. Aug, the colors actually mix into eachother quite well in RL. :<

beautiful work , i think the arms might be a little out of place not sure if they are too short or the muscles are off and the rear is a bit rough but everything else the colors , pose , horse anatomy and hands are real amazin.

peace

Pastiche-X In reply to saragoth [2007-11-07 20:02:43 +0000 UTC]

The rear was partially a fault of the inking pen. My hand can never stay very straight with that thing. :B
Now that I really look at it, though, it does look really friggin' rough (aside from the inking stuff). I need to make sure that my tracings are cleaner before I start inking. Since I use a lightbox to trace my original sketch over to the final paper. It keeps the final "cleaner."

Thank you for both the critiques and the compliments.
