Description You know... in the third Inuyasha movie... Inu-papa dies... in a burning building. Why did they figure they needed to do that, when the manga already stated that he was killed by Ryuukossei? So, this is just me saying "HA!" to the anime writers, in a lame attempt to give Inu-papa a slightly better death scene. Thus was born my very first piece of dramatic fanart ever. I actually spent a whole week and a half on this thing, but it mostly took that long because I only worked on it maybe an hour at a time. I'm so lazy.

I don't usually put any sort of descriptive background on my images, either, so this was a first for me, too. The Ryuukossei in the background was just traced off a screenshot, since, like I said, I'm lazy and I don't usually do backgrounds.

Great job! This picture really captures the sadness of Inu-taisho's death. My boyfriend would argue with me that Inu-daddy's name is Toga, but I'm sticking with what I've been told all long.

Once more awesome job. Quick question though? Have you ever thought about doing a picture similiar to this only with Inuyasha's mother holding Dad in one arm to her chest crying softly while Inu was in her other?

Actually, no, I don't usually think dramatically at all. ^_^* This one was a fluke, I guess. A nice-looking fluke, I admit, but it's a far cry from my usual.

Okay, and to explain the Inu-papa name thing, since there's so much confusion about this:

To put it simply, he doesn't have a name. "Touga-ou" is his unofficial name, as it was used in the storyboards for the third movie, but never made it into the final product. A lot of American fans call him "Inutaisho", which is likely a fan-abbreviation of "Inu no Taishou", which is his title ("Leader of the Dogs"), not a name. Japanese fans seem to have nicknamed him "Inu-papa", so that's what I tend to go with when referring to him. ^_^*

Okay, thank you for that clear up. I've always wondered what Inu-taisho meant and thank you for finally explaining that to me.

Leader of the Dogs...jeez it sounds so much cooler now that I know what it is.

Continue to use what you wish, I have no quarel with it. I just think Inu-taisho has a sort of classy feel to it.

Didn't Inu-taisho die while sealing Ryuukosei in the series as well?

Guess the IY movies are like the DBZ ones and don't fit into the story line.

Good job with the shading and the blurry effects in the background!

He was badly wounded in the fight with Ryuukotsusei, and at the beginning of movie 3, he's still bleeding from that fight. But he wasn't dead yet, and as a taiyoukai, he still had the strength to do one more thing before he passed on---save his newborn son and human wife.

Excellent pose, coloring, lighting and effects!

*sniff* Isso sad...

Did they ever really say he died fighting that thing? Cuz I think at the start of the movie he's all hurt 'n stuff right? So he couldn've died a while after fighting him, when he was in the building... am I making any sence? lol I'm dead tired so yeah probably not *flees*

No, they didn't say that he died fighting it. They said that he died from the injuries he got from Ryokutsei. He basically died as a result, it was the excertion he put on his body to save Inuyasha and his mother from the burning fire. ^^
