So... what exactly is the fandom's obsession with "Inuyasha's sister"? It's practically become some sort of cult following, of the sort, "Even though we never see her, she MUST exist!!!11" I mean, WTF? With all the Sister!Sues out there, it would seem like Inu-papa was the biggest manwhore in all of Japan. Not to mention a majority of them are younger sisters, meaning either Inu-papa was a cheating bastard, or Izayoi got the hankerin' for extra youkai-lovin' after he died.All of the Sister!Sues in this image are based off of actual Sue descriptions in fanfiction. A search of fanfiction.net for "Inuyasha's sister" returns about 300 results of fics submitted within the past WEEK. I didn't brave all of them. In fact, I only got through those half dozen before my brain fried. Among them were a girl who was both Inuyasha AND Kouga's sister, meaning Inu-papa had to boink Kouga's mom. And a girl who was 3/4 cat demon, despite Inu-papa being her father. And a blonde hanyou from the modern era, meaning that Inu-papa somehow traveled to the future and shagged an American. The list goes on... x___x
Inu-papa gets multiple letters a week on his column inquiring about Inuyasha's mysterious sister. Either that or it's someone claiming to be his long-lost daughter. I mean... isn't that a little insulting to go up to a guy and demand that you know more about his family and sex life than he does?

The InuYasha Fans AREN'T all that smart... (And then its us to us poor people to explain it to them all... ) the whole "And a girl who was 3/4 cat demon, despite Inu-papa being her father." apparently that girl can't do Maths... poor poor actors. i think I understand Why people like Orlando Bloom and many others don't ever really touch the internet (or he didn't until a while ago... anyway) If some one FORGETS this kind of stuff they REALLY need to re-read the InuYasha Manga or re-watch the series.
Or Just Stay away from fanfiction all together (Scary...)(Or only read the very good ones).

HEY! I know one of the Sister! Suesin this picture! The one in the pink is Serenity, created by my friend (with the same name).
You have to admit, when it comes to OC's in IY fanfics, it's so easy to make them a MarySue, but it's really hard to make sure they aren't.
I'm a little guilty, I made a Sue (not a sister), but strangely no one has ever bit my head off over it...

Yes, you have caught me... I have come up with a sister for Inuyasha, and she is younger than him. Though in my own defence, I came up with a suitible history for her, she has the same mother (and father) as Inu, and is very far from being a sue. (I mean it, she can be really idiotic, is semi-blood thirsty, went to war, and traded daggers with Kouga.)
I am faving this as a reminder not to go overboard with my OC's. Thanks!

But mary sues....
Once I saw a Naruto OC that had 7 (or more) of the tailed demons in her (INCLUDING KYUUBI), two more made up demons, was a Sannin (she was MUCH younger than Oro, Tsu, and Jir, making it impossible to actually BE a sannin), had both the sharingan AND the byakugan.
Seriously. I died after reading THAT description. Mi~ I don't mean to be mean... but that was pushing the envelope way too far. I pride myself in making sure my OCs are useless at some things. :3

Funny. I was looking for pictures of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father, finding this one. Actually, I just made a sister to the two. She older than Inuyasha, for one, full dog demon (like Sesshomaru). However, she doesn't care too much for her brothers.
Also, if there WAS a sister, I doubt she'd be noticed as the feudal era was a man-based era. True, girls were probably still around, just not talked about.
So, yeh. As for my character's outfit, she has a kimono (light blue) that's sorta like Inuyasha's but not quite. It's like a regular female kimono, just made of one piece and giving enough room to move and breathe.
So, yeh.
