So, it's been, what, a year or so since I've drawn anything beyond an oekaki? XD; Heh, I just haven't really had the will or the inspiration lately. But a friend of mine just did some Sesshoumaru artwork, and since she has a habit of acting as my muse, boom, I finally got off my butt and did something. So, thank you, ~Nikkic87 for the inspiration!This is based on chapter 518, where Sesshoumaru not only gets a brand spanking new sword, but his arm randomly comes back as a bonus! Yeah, it looked kinda nifty, but I'm still sorta miffed about the whole development, since, well... he was just cooler with only one arm, and the explanation of the whole thing was massively glossed over. "He has two arms and a new sword now. Deal with it."
Drawn in OpenCanvas and colored in Photoshop. Only took about a day start to finish because, well, I'm still lazy, so it may be kinda messy in places. Ah well. Deal with it.

Awesome drawing style! But he looks a little flat... as in, in the same layer as the background - it gives him a 'stuck' feeling. How many layers did you use?

Only four, I think. One for the background, one for the color, one for the lineart, and one for the foreground. I tend to go sparse on layering since I'm lazy. ^_^*

It would be to your merit to draw Sesshoumaru-sama with many, many layers. He is a very detail-oriented character.

It would be awesome if he could find an arm that doesnt decay over time...he did take that dragon arm one episode,but he found it useless after he tryed to break Tetsaiga and failed.he would wield his sword,i forgot it's name, and Tenseiga!!!!

For some reason I had originally thought tenseiga transformed into Bakusaiga, but then reading this week's chapter I realized "No... Tenseiga's still there..."

Fairly descent considering you did it in a day. However, several parts are messy and incoherent, such as the dark smoke/cloud effect surrounding him. Anatomically the character is pretty well balanced, but the face is scrunched up and looks too flat. The folds in his clothing could use more definition as well to provide a fuller 3D effect. Also, the yellow lighting isn't really necessary since it isn't falling on the characters skin, clothing, or hair. The elements (which include the character, smoke, and yellow light) just don't seem to harmonize well together. I think if you studied how light and smoke elements reacted in real life, you could create much stronger pieces in the future. Good effort nonetheless.

Haha I read that, fear Bakusaiga! Hmm...why is it that all those swords end with saiga/seiga? Tenseiga, Tetsusaiga, Bakusaiga...? Good art job ^^ Yeah...he is cooler with one arm...but he's just as damn sexy with two arms

Wow! He does look pissed - and you even have the hole in the fluff! It's a beautiful depiction of that scene. And who knows... at some point he may end up needing that second arm so he can weild a sword in each hand.
