Description: Native to south of Canada, to almost all over USA, to north of Mexico, striped skunks are one of the most recognizable animals, as popular figures in cartoons and children's books, because they are black with white chipmunk-like stripes. Most skunks can use their musk from their butts with strong stench to keep predators and humans away from it. They had variable appearances, from back-and-white, to brown-and-cream colorations, but all had warning colors. Predators of this skunk, are eagles, owls, foxes, badgers, coyotes, wolves, pumas, and bobcats, but they can avoid the stenches from the skunk's anal glands, unless they are starving. In early times, people can hunt the skunks for their fur-coat, but sometimes people think that they can keep skunks as pets, without smelly anal glands, to get rid of the mice and rats. Domestic skunks had been rare, but it is extremely illegal in some states of USA, because of the rabies, and how smelly they forgot to handle. When the skunks are ran over by vehicles, they can release the smell, Pee-yew, the dead skunk smell stinky. They are peaceful, intelligent, but they have poor senses of sight, but a great sense of hearing and smell. Skunks can popular in cartoons, like Flower(from Walt Disney's Bambi, 1942), Stella(from Dreamwork's Over the Hedge, 2006), Pepe-le-Pew(from Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoons, since his first appearance started in 1945, like the episode, Odor-able Kitty, but he's also known as Stinky.), etc.
