Description: With its striking black-and-white striped head with grayish-brown stocky body with short, powerful, and clawed legs, which makes the badger the most recognizable animals, closely related to American and honey badgers, as they are one of the mustelids. These bear-like mustelids can share borrows with other species, like foxes, rabbits, and even tanukis, but they can be ferocious beasts when provoked, which the trait was being exploited in a now illegal blood-sport of badger-baiting. Eurasian badgers are the most social of all badgers, which they formed a group of up to 23 individuals. Group sizes can be related to habitat compositions. They are crepuscular and nocturnal, so they can forage for food. The group of badgers is consisted of adults and their pups, all lead by both an alpha boar and an alpha sow, but occasionally more than one sow breeds. They are among the most omnivorous carnivorans, along with the brown(Ursus arctos) and grizzly bears(Ursus horribilis), red fox(Vulpes vulpes), and raccoon(Procyon lotor) for example. We do see the badgers in movies, TV series, games, and books. Not all badgers are seen as villains like Tommy Brock from the Tales of Mr. Tod, some are good guys, like Mr. Badger from the Wind and the Willows(which he's earlier a gruff, solitary, and anti-social hermit, but later he's good and kind, which he's friends with Mr. Mole, Mr. Vole, and even Mr. Toad), and Badger( along with Shadow and Herkle) from Animals of Farthing Wood for example. Also we do see badgers as other characters like Badgesicle(the badger-piñata from Viva Pinata), Cornelius and Michelle from 20th Century Fox's Once Upon a Forest, for example.
