I just made for my friendInkHyaena
The designs, such as the lesser striped hyenas from Jungle Cubs in "Humans Must Be Crazy" had closely resembled the crocutans from The Lion King. The most confusing designs were the brown hyenas from "Noah's Animals" as you guys got confused that they were either great brown hyenas, or wolves. I suspect that they can't howl, but they laugh with their allies the ravens and their boss, Crocodile. Back to the designs I'm talking about, I think that they were unlike real hyena tails, which they were that bushy, the laughing hyena from Popeye and its counterpart with their cousins had almost reptile tails, that even weird as Rufus from My Gym Partner's a Monkey. I did the drawings for InkHyaena 's guide, include the crocutan(aka to the fan, Howard Hyena) from Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and the hyenas from Noah's Island.

Update #1: Not only I update the few, but I changed the hyena's(from Bedknobs and Broomsticks), name from Crocutan, to Howard Hyena, under the request of howard-hyena

I like all these different looking hyenas but my drawings are sometimes less cartoony I like it that way

I agree, I did make the additions for the cartoon hyena guides for InkHyaena , at least 4 years ago. Her's guide of the hyenas, consisted with the spotted hyena and aardwolf from Wild Kratts, Tabaqui from Shonen Mowgli, Shenzi(along with Banzai, Ed, Janja, Cheezi, Chungu, Nne, Tano, Jasiri, Madoa, Tuma, and Weemu. Along with the aardwolves, Mjomba for example) from The Lion King, Hardy Harr Harr from Lippy the Lion and Hardy Harr Harr, Rufus from My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Spotted Hyena from Wild Thornberrys, Giggles, Bud and Lou from DC series, for example. I've been looking everywhere for that Winnie The Pooh hyena! For some reason, as a young child I always thought it was a raccoon.

Yeah, and I also thought that this kind of guy was kind a like a mix between a fox and a hyena and a woozle. And yes, according to Rabbit, when he replied to Tigger, that this animal that's laughing at them for no reason is a hyæna.
