I do know that this was my 1st Lion King fan art.
Not only that, we could get the references in their colors.
1. Is The original, based in the concept art of the famous 3 hyenas, and they were light-olive in the main fur, light brownish-grey underside, greyish-cinnamon-colored in the ear insides and spots, greyish in the muzzles, and almost that black in their paws, noses, manes, ears, and tails. We could see in some images we look for the hyenas from Lion King, including comics you can see on the internet.
2. Is that their colors similar to the latters from my web-comics, "The Centaur's Diamond." Their ears, manes, paws, and tails were a little more brunette-blonde rather than the black, and their coats were a little bit reddish-gold like within the original(From The Lion King). I noted that Shenzi was dull-colored than her minions, because that she's a female.
3. Is that when the hyenas are in the Elephant Graveyard, because that their coats were a lot blue-purplish-grey, which makes this color scheme popular for the main hyenas from Kingdom Hearts 2 and the show Timon and Pumbaa. Not only that, but more popular color scheme fit for all hyenas from The Lion Guard. Such hyenas as Janja, Cheezi, Chungu, and the Outlander hyenas.
4. Is when the hyenas are in Scar's lair near Elephant Graveyard, or when they are with Scar to confront Simba during the stormy scene, because that their color schemes are dark-greenish.
and 5. Is that when the hyenas are making Zazu to become a Birdie Boiler, or when they sang almost in the end of the song with Scar, "Be Prepared," or when all hyenas confronted and stalled by Timon and Pumba(while Timon's mother and Uncle Max makes a tunnel trap), or when the hyenas are in a final battle against the Pridelander lionesses, and end up ditching Scar for what they heard what he said that they are the lions' enemies. This color scheme is more redder and orangish that reflects almost the fire.
