Description: The wild goat was the living ancestors of domestic goats. Males and females have horns, but some females have a lack of horns. This goat was characterized by its goatee, horns, and cloven hooves. They lived in herds consisted of nanny-goats and their kids. Billy-goats are highly solitary. The wild goat was an herbivore, not only that they graze grass, but they browse twigs, moss, and they are more curious than sheep. Long ago, humans tamed the goats in the Near East, since 10000BC, and onwards to today, we spread our goats around the world when they're pets. We used them for milk, fiber, meat, skin, show, racing, fighting, clearing the land, and as pets. Along with the dromedary camel, the goat is one of the animals of burden in the Bible, much more often than not.  Both the goat and sheep are one of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac, depicted as a very shy, introverted, creative, and the perfectionists. Several mythic creatures who are half-goat, like the chimaera(Greek mythic creature whose a lioness, with another head and body of a goat, and tail of a snake.), the satyr(half-human, half-goat), and Capricorn(a creature of the western zodiac, that's half goat, half-fish). Popular Christian folk tradition in Europe, associated with the daemon Luscatanifer(also known as Satan, or Lucifer.) within the imagery of goats. A common superstition in the Middle Ages, was that goats whisper lewd sentences in the ears of the saint. A common medieval depiction of the devil, a monster with a goat-like head within a small goatee. For the their milk, man makes cheese, butter, ice-cream, cajeta, and others are made out of goat milk. Did you know that the goats are much popular pets, thanks to fairy-tales stories, like The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats, for example.
