Description: The extinct ancestor of our domestic cattle, consisted of the zebu and taurine cattle whom they survived, the Aurochs was Europe's largest cattle until exctintion. Both sexes of this cattle looked a lot like a taurine bull, but the bulls are much more powerful and muscular than the cows. Even the Aurochsen cows looked like bulls. They lived in the Pleistocene period, 10 thousand years ago. The aurochs lived in the European forests, to coexist with deer, moose, bison, wild horses, Coelodonts(aka Woolly rhinoceroses), and even woolly elephants. They lived in herds, consisted of a dozen cows, and their calves, a solitary bull, all lead by one of the eldest and dominant cow. The teenage bulls left the herd, so they can make their bachelor herds, just like elephants do. The predators of the aurochs, are lions, tigers, bears, wolves, and hyenas, but healthy aurochs had no natural predators. Before the aurochs got extinct, people of India had domesticated the Indian subspecies of aurochs, to make this cattle becoming a zebu, while people of Near East domesticated the Eurasian subspecies of aurochs, to make this cattle becoming a taurine cattle. Taurine cattle are used for beef meat, and for dairy products(including in their milk, man makes cheese, butter, yogurt, ice-cream, and cream.), and for their skin, that humans made clothes and shoes. The last of the aurochs, was a cow, died from natural causes in 1627. Nowadays, the Heck Bros. makes the Heck Cattle becoming one of the first animals that has to bring the aurochs back to life from extinction.
