Now you see, he's just kidding, because if he wasn't then you'd join all those nameless people whom he wasn't kidding with.
Damn he's awesome.

I dunno... I guess you don't need it after you rip it with a couple broken sticks...

Question: Why don't zombies eat each other's brains?

Coz they already did... that's their first meal...

Not when you see them o TV, with their suspiciously complete skulls...

PatchKatz In reply to Ziblink [2010-08-16 04:28:21 +0000 UTC]
That's because they never show a guy turning into a zombie... they start sneezing a lot, and their brain comes out in tiny bits... then they eat it, and like it so much they go for more...

And canisters of military waste have nothing to do with it? I remember the bodies there came alive quite quick.

Coz they don't have brains! They ate them themselves before! D:

Which brings up another point, how can the DETECT brains? They're shambling undead, not airport security!

Anything moving perfectly fine has a brain... also, you can tell from the general looks of the potential victim...
π: 0 β©: 1
Ziblink In reply to PatchKatz [2010-08-18 05:49:09 +0000 UTC]
Most things MOVING have a brain, so zombies must have something.
Also, if they are brainless, they shouldn't be able to make logical deductions like that.

PatchKatz In reply to Ziblink [2010-08-18 15:20:36 +0000 UTC]
Well, not all their brains fly out of their noses... they're left with the lower reptilian portion... that's why they're so violent... and having primitive capabilities to identify victims...

Brains leaking out noses? Lower reptilian parts? Sounds fanciful to me.

PatchKatz In reply to Ziblink [2010-08-19 14:36:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, the lower part of the brain is reptilian, if I recall my biology classes... and you can access your brain through the nose... that's how egyptians pulled pharaohs' brains out of their heads...

Ziblink In reply to PatchKatz [2010-08-20 06:48:48 +0000 UTC]
Hem hem.
First up, the lower part of the brain is NOT reptilian, it is the limbic system, which is primitive yes, but not solely reptilian. It controls all 'automatic systems' such as breathing, heartbeat, body temperature regulation, the stuff you don't need to think about, 'IF... THEN' stuff.
Next is the midbrain which handles more complex things, such as vision and smell, things with a variety of inputs that need 'some' thinking done about them. Most 'higher' species have this too, especially mammals, to handle more complex behaviors and instincts.
Finally there is the cerebellum, a part biggest in humans that handles conscious stuff.
Brains can be 'accessed' anywhere there is a suitable hole in the skull. Ears, base of the neck, eyes, you name it. The Egyptians used the nose because it was least destructive, you didn't leave a bloody hole where anyone could see it. A sharp instrument was jabbed up the nose into the sinuses, breaking the weak part of the skull there and then wiggled about to liquifey the brain which was then spooned out (No really!) and thrown away. (It's the HEART what does the thinking after all!) Interestingly the blood vessels in the nose go straight to/from the brain, an infection on your upper lip can poison the brain under rare circumstances.

they certainly aren't literary epitomes, but it at least excused a lot of questions left unasked by other zombie lore.

Indeed, the main problem being that zombies in themselves are a totally retarded idea. (Like dragons, but less awesome. And realistic. And dragony.)
