guess where the inspiration for this one came from!!! you dont know? well, then, I'll tell you, it's TOOL! go download them, right now, this instant!!! this is particularly inspired by their album Lateralus, mostly by the Parabola music video, which I have on DVD. ^.^ Oops is definitely the most spiritual of my characters, so I thought it befitting. black and white are all I see, in my infancy... red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me... let's me see... as below so above and beyond I imagine, drawn beyond the lines of reason... push the envelope, watch it bend. and be a cute cuddly kitty while you're at it! I tried to find my own energy concentration points, though, because I dont know as much about chakras as I ought to... so I just looked for where my own energy abundances surge... my fingertips, my higher throat/chest area, and my bowels. I decided to leave his tail all white, and not to give him the tearline that is usually on his star eye. At this point, Oops is absolved, tears are of no more use, and having any desire for them is only selfish too. Oops knows. If only I did... -.-
oh, and to all those who dont know, the lateralus eyes, and most of TOOL's artwork in the later albums, and especially on 10,000 days, is all masterfully done by Alex Grey. that guy is a genius... I got to meet him and watch him paint, and he gave me a COSM pin! I could barely keep myself fom going silly with glee. Now that's a cat who knows where it's at. Check it out, look up alex grey or the chapel of sacred mirrors. if you're a psychonaut, an aura reader, or just interested in energy flow and great art, I do implore you, look him up! I swear, those painting are the true likenesses of the divine! and I'm not one to go fangirl about things!
I also did a drawing with markers on my boyfriend's head, a sun with an eye and a spiral in the middle, and two people asked me if Alex grey did it. I was very flattered and proud. sorry to flaunt, it made me very happy for a very long time. ^.^
wow... I sure can rant when I've had my healthy dose of Kratom... thats enough for now.
