Description a treat for all my fellow final fantasy seven fans... my new midgar...^.^

we believe that the major paradigm of the next century will be based entirely off the relationship between humans and plants, a relationship that we can currently no longer afford to ignore. somewhere along the line, it was decided that apart from plants, there was going to be something else, something different, and mammals were born. but although we are essentially part of the same entity, we have sadly lost our natural connections to our species, and simultaneously our species inevitable utter dependency upon nature. it is also important to add that, the process of attaining any kind of honest relationship with plants, and thus all of nature, by pure necessity entails more then simply not destroying them. true coexistance will only come about when we acknowledge, respect, and indepthly examine the vast range of relations that are and always have been inherently and eagerly possible. these possibilities range from healing psychologically, spiritually, and physically in many ways which most of western science will not even consider over wealthy, non-self sufficient pharmacutical alternatives. and among these uses, equally as important and utilized since farther back then our history can tell us, various methods of contacting spirits, bridging communication gaps between tribes, experiencing reality through different focal points, through hallucinogenic and other mind-altering have been employed and revered as highly sacred, often earning certain plants status alligned with gods. yet again we are so prone to dismissing this relationship and many of our inherent desires to be apart of it and thus, cut short the whole of our connections. consider this if you are dismissive as such...out of the 6.4 billion combinations of folliage found in the amazon jungle, well over half of which can kill you if injested improperly, natives know exactly what combination and what exact preperation method to employ to yield what is still, from the perspective of any western science, an astounding array of astoundingly effective natural cures for all kinds of ailments...and how is this knowledge obtained? every native adamantly claims that they simply open themselves to nature, and sometimes some hallucinagenic plants, and the plant spirits give them the awnsers. also consider it from the evolutionary standpoint that if any principal of natural selection and adaptation are true, our deeply embedded and refined capacity for 'tripping out' as such must have some kind of natural advantage. fostering true, all encompasing connections, through subjective or objective experience are the only way for us to sustainably coexist with our planet, and are the only inevitable alternative to the death of both plants and mammals. do we embrace the plants, do we embrace ourselves as one with them, does the future smile?
what do you say?

Absolutely beautiful. The art is fantastic, as is the idea behind it. I can say that I agree with you on it all. I've always viewed the most ideal scenario of the future to be a blend of high technology and respect for nature and it's abundance. This definately resonates well with me, and, in fact, i believe that this'll be the first pic I will have ever faved in the two years I've been on DA.

WOW!!! I love not only the beautiful image itself, but also the wonderful, deep thoughts behind it! Realy a wonderful piece of work - both art AND writing!

I sadly have never played any of the FF games, though my friend showed me Red XIII because she said he looks like Synn. I'll have to play them sometimes!
