Hmm... I am not sure. This melon is not sour, nor sweet. Come to think of it, it is pulpy and quite tasteless. We call it winter melon here and it is usually cooked before it can be eaten.

We call it the shark-fin melon as its flesh is rather stringy. It is actually a kind of gourd.
