About:
  From the moment Lotus took her first steps, Twilight and Applejack knew that Lotus was special- they pampered her in adoration, often showering her with trifles and sweets to show their affection. The fate of their little flower, little did they know, would astonish them. Lotus, despite originally being a pegasus, was born with an extremely unique and special power- she could channel magic through her hooves. Through even the slightest of touch, she could use magic to manipulate even the largest of objects.
Lotus can be a bit shallow, but she loves to help. She loves everything about her princessesque duties, including the parts most ponies would call "boring". She is active and studious, and believes in making her own way, which drove her at a young age to step away from the call of an heir and pursue her own destiny.

  Ever since Parchment could talk, she loved asking questions. She would ask about anything, EVERYTHING- from simple curious banters to deep philosophical ponderings. Finally, to shut her up, Starlight sat her down with a piece of paper and a quill, looked the little filly squarely in the eyes and commanded "Write". So she did. She started with questions- pages and pages of questions that soon she decided she needed answers. "Where do fillies come from?" "What lies beyond the moon?" "Why is friendship so important?" After years of ambitious study to find the answers to her own questions and, eventually, studenthood under Twilight Sparkle herself, Parchment found herself asking darker and more personal questions that soon made her bitter. "Why wasn't I born powerful?" "Why are some more special than others if we're all supposed to be equal through diversity?" "Why can't I be a PRINCESS?"
   No matter how hard Parchment looked, she couldn't find the answer to her insecurities in any book. Her continuous study causes her to brush away friendship, as she is too busy with important work to socialize. She spends most of her time practicing her magic and brooding, much to her parents' concern. She in reality is very lonely and wishes she had the knowledge to do anything but study and write. She hates her job, as well as most everything that isn't books and the dark.
