Leappaw buried her nose into her tail as she uncomfortably moved around in her nest, ears were lowered against her skull in annoyance. "That's the last time I'm ever sleeping in this nest!" She hissed and jumped up, grumpily walking out of the apprentice's den with her head hung low, glaring at the ground. I could have had a nice sleep last night but no, I couldn't! She thought angrily, stomping her paw on the ground when she stopped. "How bad can it get?" She said to no one in particular.

Frogpaw turned over in her nest, pricking her ears at the commotion her nest-neighbor was making. "Leappaw? What's wrong?" she asked quietly, hoping not to alert anyone else.

"Nothing! It's just that I can't sleep and it's irritating me." She hissed, putting her paws atop of her head, looking around the den. "I think I need a new nest or I'll be sleeping on the ground..."

"Do you want to switch with me?" Frogpaw offered, not really excited to be sleeping in a nest that is apparently uncomfortable, but it would make Leappaw happy.

"No, y-you just stay in your nest." Leappaw said, smiling at her reassuringly. "I'll stay in mine until tomorrow, I'll go look for some moss BUT I am not going to sleep tonight." She said, laying her head down on her paws.

"If you want, I can help you collect some moss now," Frogpaw offered instead. "I know where some is growing nearby camp, and that way you'll get some sleep and be ready for tomorrow, instead of being tired all day."

"Onwards, my dear friend!" Leappaw laughed but tried to keep it quietly as she jumped up from her nest and exited the den.

Frogpaw approached her friend after the ceremony had been completed. "Leapfern!" she purred as she neared the she-cat. "Congratulations on becoming a warrior and getting your warrior name!"

Leapfern nodded, grinning like no tomorrow. "Thanks..." She replied quietly, she was happy but wasn't thrilled to be sleeping with new den mates. "I'll have to get used to it though, there's going to be lots of warrior stuff to do like patrols, hunting for the clan and you know? Wish I still was a apprentice so I could train and sleep." She mewed jokingly but it was true.

"Yeah but it will be nice not having to search the Elders for ticks anymore!" Frogpaw stuck out her tongue, giggling. The apprentices' chores were not fun, but they did keep busy throughout the day.

Leapfern couldn't help but laugh. "I know, it was so uncomfortable doing that! I'm sure it still is." She said, crinkling her face in disgust. "But their stories are cool to listen too!... Sometimes..."

"Ah well. When we're elders, we can be snappy towards the apprentices in payback." Frogpaw snickered. They neared the tree that grew the freshest moss, and Frogpaw pawed at it. "Is this stuff okay?" she asked Leapfern.

Leapfern pawed at it as well and nodded. "Yep." She replied and grabbed some, clamping her teeth down to make sure it wouldn't fall on their way back to camp, to think about; she had taken a large clump of moss. "Oh, opps." She said but it came out muffled.
