She is eager to impress, as other's opinions mean a lot to her.
She's very assertive and bold, often taking charge and leading the way.

Shypaw had settled into a dark corner of the camp and was watching everyone go past with her pale golden eyes. She was anxious, there were so many cats. She remembered when the clans had all traveled together, that had been like this too, but this seemed more crowded and she was still confused about the clans having split up only seemingly to have come back together again, but not all the way. Things were so confusing, and the adults she asked could not seem to explain it well enough that it made sense to her.

Redpaw was one of the apprentices tasked with carrying twigs to and fro to help build some dens. She wasn't a particularly large cat, and the task was beginning to be difficult, putting too much strain on her jaws. Carefully, she lowered the sticks to catch her breath, and noticed a pair of glinting yellow eyes in the darkness.
"Hey there," she greeted warmly, "I should have followed your lead and hid before I got tasked with work," she laughed.

Shypaw, blinked in surprise as she realized she’d been spotted. She hadn’t meant to skip out on chores. She had just wanted to get away from all of the unknown cats. She half folded her ears sheepishly, if she came out now she was worried she’d be put in the middle of things.
“I didn’t mean to leave you all working without me.” She meowed softly. “I’m just really nervous about all of these cats.”

Oh my! LOL I just realized something! Lil'miss Red was born just a little bit after Shypaw. They are both July babies who were born just after the fire.
These babies perspectives on the clans uniting must be interesting you'd think having been born with all the clans together.

LOL Shypaw is probably thinking the adults are being silly. First we break up for seemingly no good reason and they we come back together again, but only half way. Why can't we all be one huge clan.

Redpaw looked around. She was used to having a lot of apprentices in camp (she was from MoonClan, after all) but not quite this many. She wondered how many there were, and more importantly, how all of them would fit into one den.
Not one to shy away from an opportunity, Redpaw took this as a challenge. Perhaps she could get to know as many of these apprentices as she could, so one day when she was leader, she could ensure loyalty...through friendship!
She laughed at the thought, and picked her first new friend. A gray spotted apprentice was nearby, and Redpaw bounded over to them. "Hey," she greeted, "what's your name?"

Dotpaw was in deep thought while eating his food. Mostly about his newest story idea. He couldn't leave the JunPan kits waiting. It took him a moment or him to realize someone was talking to him. He looked at the red furred she cat and blinked. "Oh, s-sorry. I'm Dotpaw, and you are?" He nudged a bit of his uneaten food towards her. "Um, would you like to s-share?"

"I'm Redpaw," the red-furred she cat mewed, flicking her tail. As she was offered a piece of his food, she politely shook her head, pushing it back towards him, "No thanks, I ate recently, so it's all yours. I just wanted to come say hi and get to know you a little!" She sat down matter-of-factly, chin held high. "So! Tell me about yourself. Who are you, Dotpaw?"

He perked his ears a bit at this "I'm pretty plain, actually. I'm from Dawnclan, um, I was raised by my cousin, and then after the battle I came here to Sunclan." He shrugged lightly, "That's about it. What about you, Redpaw?"

"Plain?" Redpaw scoffed at the word, "I'm sure you're not plain. How come you were raised by your cousin? Where are your parents? How did you like DawnClan?" she grinned at the barrage of questions. "As for me, I mean, it's kind of a similar story. I was born in MoonClan, went on the journey, and after the battle I moved here to SunClan! But also a TON of stuff happened in between that I'm not telling you because I'm 'plain'."

Dotpaw chuckled and surrendered. "Alright, alright. You don't seem so 'plain' either. Well...Its a long tragic story. My parents met in Pebbleclan, the former Gladeclan. My mother used to be a rogue and my dad was clan born. They fell in love, madly some may say, and I was born during the journey. Sadly, my mother and siblings didn't make it through the birthing. So I never met them. My father stayed with me whenever he could, at least from what I can remember. However when he went hunting, he had my cousin watch over me. We got seperated from the rest of the group and we ended up in Dawnclan territory. I grew up there. Greenbug, my cousin, was like a mother and a father put together. He always told me though that my dad was in Gladeclan waiting for when I was older to meet him. Then, the battle happened. It was...bitter sweet for me. I didn't actually take part in the battle. I was just barely old enough to become an apprentice." He paused for a moment to see the others reaction before continuing. "I thought I was going to finally remeet my dad...sadly it wasn't to be. He died during the battle. As well as my cousin's mate. And now I'm here. Pansydew, my father's friend and old apprentice, kinda adopted me, though, and I've been making new friends so. Its been kinda nice."

Redpaw frowned, "That is kind of tragic," she agreed, "but also kind of happy too. You get to make new friends and have a family who loves you," she grinned. "I also lost a littermate during the journey," she explained, "Onekit. They never even got to be an apprentice. I think it kind of devastated my mom, because she retired not too long after we got to the territories."

Redpaw: //yawns// O-okay, Sunflare. What are we gonna practice today?

Sunflare looked down at the red apprentice for a moment and thought about the things he had seen the other mentors do. "Today we are going to practice clawing...Moss...Of a tree." The scared tom smiled as he nudged the she-cat up an out of her bed.

"Clawing moss?" Redpaw repeated sleepily, rolling out of bed and standing up. "For the Elders' Den?" she guessed, having seen other apprentices do the same. Some of the moss was to be sent to the Nursery, some to the Elders, and some to the Medicine Cat's den. Any remaining moss was distributed to the warriors and apprentices, and Redpaw noted the uncomfortable pieces that made up her own nest.

The larger golden tom smiled softly as nudged the apprentice. "Yes Yes I know. I have to do it for my self, and I know it's not the most exciting task. But it is an important one. We need to take care of the cats who risked their lives for the clan." He gave a small lecture as he lead Redpaw out of the apprentice den.
"Once we finish we'll do some quick sparing to see were you already stand when fighting." He continues to smile as he walked by Redpaw's side. It was odd, him, sparing. Even if it was with a smaller and less experienced cat, he always thought he would be to skittish to fight. But the clan life made him stronger and more confident...Not much, but it was definitely an improvement.

"Okay, Sunflare," Redpaw said, slowly waking up more and more as she trotted alongside her mentor. She tried not to stare, but as she walked beside him, she noticed the many scars riddling his pelt, and she wondered what had happened to the orange tom. He didn't seem like the type to get into fights, like Wishspirit did, and yet he looked like he had wrestled with a bear.

His smile suddenly flashed away as he caught sight of his apprentice's face. "You're wondering about my scars?" His blue eyes shone a bit with a comforting sense of understanding. "It's okay. Many other cats ask about it..." He trotted in silence for a moment as he waited for the red apprentice to speak.
