Ever since being captured by twolegs and called a she-cat, Windcrest has been skeptical that all of their clanmates secretly don't respect them. They were very touchy about the subject, but after returning and being respected, they realized that what others think does not truly matter, because it's who you know yourself to be that makes you who you are.
A protective cat, Windcrest always puts others ahead of themself and selflessly gives whatever they can to the well-being and betterment of others.
Windcrest is rather naive and quite the slow learner. It takes them a while to catch up to the level others are already at.
Never one to sit still, Windcrest's restlessness often leads to them climbing on things -- or their Clanmates -- or running off to have an adventure. This can land them in a lot of trouble.
Like their grandfather Deathsong, they prefer to go with the flow than stress about little details. They don't usually stress at all, actually, and try to get others to do the same. They are very optimistic.
A stubborn prankster, their exploring often gets Windcrest into heaps of trouble. They don't usually think before they leap, which causes some unfortunate circumstances.
Pelt: Short, tan colored fur with darker points. Stripes on their face and tail. Faint Spots on their pelt.

Windcrest wasn't used to all the new warriors in camp. So many scents had mingled together, and they were getting pretty sick of not knowing everyone's name. Some of their new Clanmates were former rogues and loners and had to be shown the ropes of living in a Clan. Vixenstar was pretty busy, so the spotted warrior took it upon themself to do so.
One that had caught Windcrest's eye was a pretty ginger tabby she-cat that was in the ceremonies a few days ago. If Windcrest recalled, her name was Gingerleap, and they padded over to greet her.
"Hey, Gingerleap!" they called out.

Gingerleap trotted through camp her mouth stuffed with the freshkill of her recent hunting
excursion. Her plan was to drop off the prey than immediately leave again, tso she could do whatever she normally
did with her time. She would love to spend more time in camp, really she would, but it was so... busy.
She didn't enjoy the constant buzz of strange cats and the mix of scents didn't help. It didn't help
that she wasn't the best with socializing in the first place.
The tabby's head popped up immediately when she realized someone was calling her. Gingerleap looked at a
spotted cat moving over to her. She made an odd grunting sound that was most likely an attempt to say hello
that went wrong due to the prey stuffed in her mouth.

Windcrest's whiskers twitched in amusement. "I was wondering if you wanted to kind of get to know the territory. I've seen you go hunting a lot, but I mean...you're new to the Clans, yeah? Would you like someone to show you around?"
Their tail flicked triumphantly, "Cause if so, that someone would be me!"

Gingerleap stared straight at the other warrior for a second. This was a new occurence to the tabby. She dumped the pret in her mouth onto the ground in front of her paws. Her expression didn't change as she thought over the proposition. It couldn't hurt could it? And the other cat seemed really excited about it.
"After I drop this off," she finally said pawing at the freshkill at feet.

"Sounds like a plan," Windcrest mewed, flicking their tail in the direction of the fresh-kill pile, as if to say, go ahead!
The spotted tabby sat, twisting their tail around their paws patiently as Gingerleap went to discard her catch.

Hesitating for only a second Gingerleap grabbed up the prey then trotted over to the freshkill pile. Depositing her cargo very carefully, for whatever reason, the tabby was quickly going over the situation in her head. Any chance to learn more of the territory wasn't bad. And maybe she'll make a friend! Or find a new napping spot, either worked really. Gingerleap looked over her shoulder at the warrior waiting patiently for her. Taking a bit of breath she hurried back over to them.
Purposefully placing herself to face the camp's entrance she meowed at Windcrest, "I'm ready to go." She paused for a second. "Whenever you are." There that sounded much more friendly, she decided internally.

Windcrest wondered where to start. Setting up camp -- again, they huffed -- would take time, but they had an abundance of extra paws to help out. The work would be done in no time. Maybe a better way to help out would be to go hunting, since there were so many mouths to feed, while everyone else worked on the camp?
Scoping around for another cat who didn't look too busy, Windcrest's eyes fell on Stormypaw, one of the apprentices. They waved them down, trotting over, "Hey Stormypaw!" they greeted. "Would you like to go hunting with me?"

Stormypaw stretched, flexing all her muscles to the fullest, before standing up again and shaking her fur. Even though there were so many paws to help out, building up the camp was pretty tiring. She'd spent most of the day wandering in and out of camp, searching supplies for those who build the dens. Moss and bracken stuck to her ruffled fur, but she didn't bother cleaning up - it would get dirty again anyway.
Hearing someone calling her name, Stormypaw turned around and saw a warrior - Windcrest, she believed - approach her. Her spirits lifted at the prospect of hunting. The whole territory was new to her, so hunting was a great opportunity for exploration. "Sure thing!" she answered, getting up and starting to trott out into the woods. Turning around, she asked "So, had any particular place in mind?"

Windcrest shrugged, "I'm cool with wherever...I think. I don't really know too many good places in the territory, other than nearby, so we can go exploring if you want!" they offered, "Unless you had somewhere in mind."
The spotted warrior licked the fur on their chest as they waited for the apprentice's response, wondering if they should go out to get more acquainted with the new, larger territory, or stick to what they know to be successful hunting places already.

Stormypaw shook her head. "Nah, not really. I don't really know any of these territories anyway. So I guess we can just explore?" Her eyes lit up at the outlook on adventure. DawnClan's old territory was enemy ground now, which was a shame, but that also meant there were even more new things to be found.
"'Kay, let's get going!" she said, slowly starting to trott towards the camp entrance. Now that her curiosity has been aroused she wanted to get out into the forest as fast as possible, and they'd just stand in the way of working cats anyway.

"Exploring!" Windcrest chimed as they trotted after Stormypaw, tail high in the air with excitement. Tried and true the nearby hunting grounds may be, but all in all, who could deny an adventure?
"Which way should we go first?" The spotted warrior asked as they exited camp, turning to face the apprentice. "I guess it doesn't really matter in the long run, but...wherever you want to go, I'll follow."

Smirking at the warrior's cheer, Stormypaw could feel the excitement building up inside her as well. There was nothing on earth that could take away her fascination of exploration. Scouting through new land, discovering new things, learning something new, widening one's own horizon. She still hated that the her mobility was restricted by the Clan's borders, but at least the territory was WAY bigger than before. And she wouldn't let her freedom be limited by some stupid scent marks anyways.
Windcrest's question made the apprentice ponder for a moment, then she answered "I'd say we just go straight ahead and see what is coming, but you were in Moonclan before, right? So you should know part of the territory already. How bout you show me around a bit?" She suggested, tilting her head in a questioning manner. Although she did prefer to scout on her own, it couldn't do any harm to have someone who was already familiar with the surroundings. And that didn't mean she couldn't still find a hidden secret here or there, right?

"I can do that," Windcrest purred, taking the lead. "I didn't get to do too much exploring myself, but I did get to learn all the best hunting areas at least," they occupied the silence with needless chitchat. "Though once we get a little past MoonClan's old territory, that's when it will get really adventurous, cause I'll be about as lost as a fish out of water."
They lept onto a moss covered tree stump, scouting around. "Here's a place I like to come to sunbathe sometimes," they explained. "It's nice and quiet here -- but I mean, there's tons of prey, so it's not really quiet, but it's more quiet than it used to be, I guess?"

Stormypaw padded after the speckled cat, her ears perked with interest. "I can take the lead from there on" the apprentice explained, a spark of satisfaction lighting in her chest for knowing something the her older clanmate didn't "I've scouted out a great deal of Fireclan's and Pebb- I mean, Gladeclan's lands."
Leaping onto the tree stump after Windcrest, Stormypaw started to sniff around and examine all the little cracks and patches of moss which covered the wood. "What do you mean - 'more quiet than it used to be'? Was it ever louder 'round here?"
