Ever since being captured by twolegs and called a she-cat, Windcrest has been skeptical that all of their clanmates secretly don't respect them. They were very touchy about the subject, but after returning and being respected, they realized that what others think does not truly matter, because it's who you know yourself to be that makes you who you are.
A protective cat, Windcrest always puts others ahead of themself and selflessly gives whatever they can to the well-being and betterment of others.
Windcrest is rather naive and quite the slow learner. It takes them a while to catch up to the level others are already at.
Never one to sit still, Windcrest's restlessness often leads to them climbing on things -- or their Clanmates -- or running off to have an adventure. This can land them in a lot of trouble.
Like their grandfather Deathsong, they prefer to go with the flow than stress about little details. They don't usually stress at all, actually, and try to get others to do the same. They are very optimistic.
A stubborn prankster, their exploring often gets Windcrest into heaps of trouble. They don't usually think before they leap, which causes some unfortunate circumstances.
Pelt: Short, tan colored fur with darker points. Stripes on their face and tail. Faint Spots on their pelt.

Windpaw padded up to the FireClanner during the Gathering that was taking place around them. They'd been curious about the little tabby for a while now, and the curiosity had finally gotten the better of them.
"Psst," they hissed, nearing the FireClan apprentice. "Is that mark on your shoulder real? Or did you make that. Like, with mud. Or something?"

Roughpaw had been staring ahead absentmindedly,
having never really cared for Gatherings as much as the other apprentices his age.
Sure, it was pretty exciting to see the other clan's Leaders and deputies at first,
but it got quite boring after a while.
All they did was brag and talk about stuff he didn't understand anyways.
Lame.
At a previous gathering, he'd spoken to a Moonclanner, who was a little older than him, but the chat had been nice.
Having scoped out the crowd when they had arrived, Roughpaw was a little sad to see his otherclan-friend wasn't attending this gathering.
The tabby was somewhat glad for the distraction this still-unknown cat brought with them.
Moonclan, by the smell of it. And such a straightforward question.
Although Roughpaw was used to it by now.
The kits back in Fireclan often asked him stories about his shoulder,
and other apprentices would often tease him about it.
This Moonclanner seemed genuinely interested though.
"'S real," he answered curtly, eyeing the other apprentice up and down.
"What's it to you?"

"Jus' wonderin'!" Windpaw laughed, imitating the FireClanner's strange way of mincing words. "I think it's cool, is all. Like, you're a chosen one, maybe you'll save the forest someday, or like, grow wings or something, yeah, something like that." The light furred apprentice grinned, showing their teeth in a large smile. "Are there any prophecies about you?"

Roughpaw couldn't help but laugh,
as he suddenly imagined all Fireclanners with wings.
Before he'd lose track and start thinking about the many possibilities winged cats would have,
the tabby shook his head and turned his attention back to the tan-coloured apprentice.
"Prophecies? Iunno.. Not that I've 'eard of anyways," he shrugged.
Roughpaw grinned back apologetically,
"'s just a weird mark, 've been told I've had it since they fou-.. Since I was born."

"Hm, weird! Well, it's cool. I like it. I want one just like it. Then we can be twinners, and we can be best friends." Windpaw noticed that the FireClanner was about to say 'found' instead, but they didn't bring attention to it. Could have been a sore subject, something Windpaw was far too familiar with.
"Anyway, I'm Windpaw! I'm from MoonClan," he pointed to Fallenstar, who was sitting beneath the Gathering Rock, chatting with Brightsong. "Fallenstar is my dad, he's the leader!" He turned back to face the FireClan apprentice. "What's yer name, FiyahClann'r?" they imitated the strange minced words again.

Roughpaw couldn't stop a large grin from appearing on his face.
This Moonclanners cheerfulness was infectious.
Following the apprentice's- Windpaw's indication,
the brown tabby stared at the Moonclan leader,
before resting his gaze on Brightsong, one from his own clan.
He had never understood the sort-of friendship those two had.
But he decided not to dwell on it for too long. He could always ask Brightsong himself when they were back at camp.
Looking back at Windpaw, he realised he had yet to properly introduce himself.
"Heh. 'M Roughpaw, from 'Fiyahclan', as you said." he threw the light-pelted apprentice a toothy grin.

"Ruffpaw, that's a nice name," Windpaw nodded to themselves as if making a mental note of it. Glad to see the somewhat grumpy FireClanner's demeanor lighten up, the light furred apprentice smiled. "It's nice to meet you. Is this your first Gathering or, um, not? It's my first, you see, and I'm kind of really excited about it. I mean, I've only heard stories, so this is like, the real deal! It's kind of cool, I think." The MoonClanner coughed a few times, something that was normal for them.
