Description
Cherry, on notebook, in sunshine. The fabric threads on the notebook give an optical illution that the image is not square against the background. Weird.

Thanks.
The link did not want to link but I see they have a couple of shots of cherries, most photographers seem to have a problem keeping the cherries whole lol.

Lol sorry the link should be like this.
I used to like cherries. But I dont anymore, cause once I ate like an entire bowl and then i threw them all up and since then... i havent really had much of an appetite for them.
But they sure LOOK tasty!

Yes - the photography session did not last long- lol - I was thinking of posting one of the shots called something like 'aftermath' with all the stems and pips.

Thanks.
I think it adds to the movement. Also the optical illusion fascinates me

It is a lovely shot. My one qualm is that I don't think that background was a suitable one-- cherries are symbols of sensuality and edge, and though the cherry was shot well, the background destroys the symbol, I think. Perhaps if you photographed it on a fabric, such as a black or white silk or satin, it could lend itself to the symbol more. I love the concept, though.
Keep it up. ^^

Thanks.
I was looking at the cherry more as a sesonal abundance/ time passing metaphor - hence the title. I think it is interesting to try to look at things without reference to societies conventions. I have some other shots of these cherries taken with light though a blue glass bowl which pay more homage to the traditional symbolism - hopefully I will find time to post them soon.
