I am so excited for Fallout 4, I'm a MASSIVE fan! What better way to display my excitement than to show a Deathclaw ripping a Raider in two!!! No number of Stimpacks are going to fix that one!I finally got this piece done thanks to the support I've had on Patreon I've been able to put the time aside to work on it, and had an absolute blast with it!

I know that's what it's called but I wouldn't consider that an assault rifle. It looks more like a machine gun. The combat rifle looks more like an assault rifle.

It sure is heavy for an assault rifle and the cooling system also suggests it's a light machine gun. DOOM did the same thing with it's "assault rifle". Darn thing is even belt-fed.
The option of semi auto however gives it more of an assault rifle role. The combat rifle does look more assault rifle-ish, yet it uses pistol cartridges.
The whole Fallout 4 weaponry is all gameplay over realism. One would guess the guns were designed around the weight they wanted it to have.

Well DOOM called it a Heavy Assault Rifle, but yeah I see your point.
I suppose, but at this point we have an actual assault rifle from the Nuke World dlc. Of course they could've just used that to begin with and call the Assault Rifle a Machine Gun.

According to the Wiki it's called "MachineGun" in the game files and "AssaultRifle" refers to a cut version of the Chinese Type 93, sooo yeah... *shrug*

Always had a sweet spot for Deathclaws. Too bad in Fallout 4 there is no return of the intelligent versions. Loved them in Fallout 2.

Well, we don't care about raiders anymore like that dude being cut in half by the Deathclaw.
They stole your baby, and killed your lover.
But the art is extremely well-made and badass.

Worst thing is that deathclaws in Fallout 4 are a bigger threat than they ever were in the original games. These guys actively dodge and flank and stagger and throw and... You know what, this time around they have earned their names.
