I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens.. LOVED IT, way better than I even imagined! Β This was the early stages of my Star Wars fan art I'm working on, but this scene won't be used anymore, I've redrawn the scene. I thought Kylo Ren looked off, with him blocking a strike rather than attacking, it makes the scene less threatening. Maybe you can give me your thoughts on Kylo Ren, and tell me if you agree with me.
Through the entire movie, i kept thinking that Kylo Ren was Anakin Skywalker come again, but in the way Anakin should have; instead of taking a character who we hate and is a total fuck up and try to make him look cool, there is no illusion that Ren is not a fuck up or some kind of hero, he is everything that Anakin was with very little of his redeeming parts, wich makes him more sympathetic and more interesting.

Swordplay in the movie was so realistic, reminds me of an old medieval fighting style~Β

It was perfect. Every swing had serious weight and you were actually scared for the characters throughout. Emotional investment is what lightsaber fights in Star Wars are about. The characters, not the choreography. Yet even still, the choreography was just perfect. It was the absolute perfect blend of prequel and original trilogy duels.

The first time you see Kylo Ren was amazing. Dude is a bad ass villain. And this is cool.
