Writing-Mage [2016-07-07 00:22:37 +0000 UTC]

I like the style in which you drew it. It feels like the 19th century style. Is it? In any case, the softness of the blended colors adds a sense of serenity, and so does the color palate. very nice contrast between the earth and the sky. The clouds are very pretty. The details you added are nice, but some portions, particularly the grass in the foreground seem indistinct. Was that your intention? How did you achieve it? Painting has never been my forte.

PaulAbrams In reply to Writing-Mage [2016-07-08 19:43:43 +0000 UTC]

Thanks-I've been painting aΒ  long time. I use a limited palette very similar to the dutch and Hudson river school. This is a study- I'm surprised people find it detailed- I focus on the composition- the focal point has the most detail and contrast. As one moves away from it , details can get sparse allowing one to return to the important areas. I hope that answers you questions
