12x16 oils on panel--I wanted to incorporate the vehicle into the landscape more than I had in the previous paintings. This was underpainted in monochromatic alkyd oil, so it would dry in a few hrs for overpainting. The overpainting was done in one session using thin paint and a limited paletteRelated content

A 55 I believe, and very pretty. The 56 looked the same but had a curved wrap around windshield.

That is true, I know the V8 53s had little chrome teeth in the gill and the I6 didn't, I always thought they looked good. The 54's grill was a bit homely but the 55 was great! I appreciate the note on that
