Description
12x16 oils on panel--I wanted to incorporate the vehicle into the landscape more than I had in the previous paintings. This was underpainted in monochromatic alkyd oil, so it would dry in a few hrs for overpainting. The overpainting was done in one session using thin paint and a limited paletteRelated content

I helped my granddad rebuild the engine one just like that. He taught me to drive it. It's still in the old barn on our family ranch. Brings back such sweet memories. Now that's fine art!

I wish I could create images like this. I have these thoughts. You see these thoughts? Yeah, I see 'em. I have 'em! It's sooo damn hard for me to make them, though. XD I've got nothing on this artist (you). Good job, bro. Keep it up.

thank you - regarding the water...I paint the general tone of the water, with some sky reflection and the land reflecting into it.afterwards, I use a soft dry brush to blend it out with downward strokes. the horizontal ripples and floating debris are put in on top of that , all done while wet

It's great to see that, in a world dominated by digital art, there's still people who are hugely talented in the traditional arts.

Beg you, always use limited palette, because the colours in this one are briliant.

Really is a terrific style you've got, it's fun seeing the truck turn up in the different paintings. Nice job.
