but this GAU-8 needs a couple of seconds to achieve its full "spray" factor... Well that's probably the time you turn back and start running for cover.... lol

The GAU-8 IS 30mm...I've worked with them long enough to know that. By the by, the A-10 is like a flying tank, true death from above! I've seen one come back with a WING missing and half of its fuselage ripped to shreds!
