Been keeping quiet about this for a LONG time (note the date of the signature!). This cover's a retailer incentive for the first issue of the new ongoing US Dredd series coming in December. Love the fact that the Ruth Wilson Doctor is just chilling near the middle of the pic, waiting for all the weirdness to cool over....great stuff. Truly great stuff.

Y'know, Spider crossed my mind (or his cat or maybe even the filthy assistants)- but I thought "The City" and MegaCity One were so similar that it might've blurred the lines a little too much and smacked of bona-fide crossover. I would LOVE to do some Transmet art one day though!

No idea what that is, but I could've filled three more pictures with the number of ideas I wrote down and couldn't fit in. With these kinds of ref-happy pics it always comes down to balancing the Easter eggs with just making a comprehensible picture (and on time and budget- though I went way over on both this time around!).

It's called Boing! a rubbery substance that allowed users to bounce safely off of great heights, but it did a lot of damage to the outside of buildings. You, within the Boing!, would keep on bouncing until the stuff ran out of kinetic energy.

I don't think I'm seeing even half of the references, but I like the ones I've spotted so far! And I'm digging the epic Cruella deVil car the robbers with the excellent boots were driving. Not to mention the parking signs...those are delightful.
