Happy New Year, folks- here's my second official cover for "transtemporal adventuress" Iris Wildthyme! The new story collection LADY STARDUST will be available later this year, courtesy of Obverse Books. And if you can't guess from the title and the picture, the anthology has just a bit of a Bowie theme...

This pic has 26 different refs (plus a 27th microscopic one, impossible to see at this reolution) to the life and works of Mr. Stardust's Earthly alter ego. One is sort of a double-ref, arguably making it 28. DON'T try to list them all in the comments section here, as Obverse has a contest (and prize) for people who want to attempt that: [link]

Btw, Iris' costume here is heavily inspired by the look the legendary June Hudson gave her for the CELESTIAL OMNIBUS cover some years back- so full credit there.

Also, I'll be selling a very limited run of POSTERS of this and my earlier art for IRIS ABROAD, thanks to the kind permission of Obverse Books. Initially I'll just be selling them at Austin's STAPLE Con in March and then at another event in April. If any are left after that, they'll be for sale online- so stay tuned!

Oh, and sorry about the big honkin' watermark. This is what my recent experiences with art-thieving bastards has driven me too. 'Fraid this is gonna be my standard operating procedure for the "big" pics from now on.
