This is a strip originaly made for a DW website many months ago, drawn by my talented pal Shawn Van Briesen [link] and wriiten/ colored/ lettered by me. Sadly, it only lasted two installments due to a variety of factors. Sucks, b/c Shawn and I were ready to go all the way up to The War Games w/ this puppy.A few notes on this:
-The bit with Ping Cho would've been a recurring gag- with supporting characters joining up as companions and then immediately dying in the next adventure (one of which was going to be Napoleon in Reign of Terror- who would've been stepped on in Planet of Giants). Richard Mace, Duggan, Jago, and Litefoot should all count themselves fortunate we didn't continue the strip.
-The triangle on the acid-fatality Voord's wetsuit is a nod to "Breaking Bad".
-We never got to show it in the two strips we did, but a closer look at the price tag on the Doctor's wig would've revealed the words "Grace Bros."
-Ian's use of the line "SAY!" is a total nod to "Mystery Science Theater 3000".

The response to these on DA has been strong enough that Shawn and I are talking about doing more independently. If we do, we're going to scrap the idea of doing all the stories in order and just skip to the ones we really want to do. I've already got some pretty funny ideas for The Caves of Androzani and The Talons of Weng-Chiang...

We had some HILARIOUS ideas for Dalek Invasion. My fave bit was an epilogue that revealed how Susan's future married life turned out. Let's just say it wasn't happily ever after. It ended with her being abducted by the Time Scoop from The Five Doctors, to which she says, "Oh, thank god!"
