just a sketch type thing, no ref.acrylic and oils on canvas. 40"x32".
I would like to start doing some landscapes again.

Gorgeous. The base is my favorite part, where it's so detailed without being horribly so. Awesome textures, again. What kind of paper do you use?

Great piece - the detal of colour and tone nearthe bottom of the tree looks really nice and the surrounding regions work really well on an emotional and conceptual sense too. Nice work.

Ooh this is cracking! It has a distinctive depth to it, the horizontal & vertical strokes work very well together, the colour scheme is coldly luscious, like seeing through cut-open eyelids. Don't sell yourself short with 'tree', how far back does the forest extend? how deep is the water? When will spring come? I shouldn't think it ever will...

What's it painted on? Looks like MDF or hardboard panel but impossible to tell from the photo.
