Description This is a pixel rendering of the GP2X, a little handlehd console I've been obsessed with lately. Took me about 2 hours using Photoshop, with Pencil, Eraser and Color Picker tools (using a reference picture, of course). If you want more information about the console itself, you can try this [link] for one of the official distributors. Look for other links there.

It really is cool. There are tons of games out for it already, and most are free, made by users (a nice list can be seen in this ). There are working emulators for NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Game Boy and many other consoles. There will be a few commercial games as well, with Payback ([link] ) and Vektar being the ones with more spotlight for now.

Sounds cool I'd get one but I've got a PSP. It plays alot of emulators too (someone just got N64 working on it ), and homebrew games. But the only thing slowing down the PSP homebrew scene is Sony. Sony doesn't like it because all they want is money :\

Yeah, I actually considered buying a PSP but thought the whole firmware upgrading and downgrading business would be too much of a hassle. So I went with the GP2X instead, because the makers actually encourage the homebrew scene. But to each his own I guess, the PSP will always have kick-ass commercial games
