This piece is gorgeous. I've never thought of using beeswax? Judging by the awesome effects on the painting, it looks like a great idea.

Thanks, I haven't seen it in a while, My gallery has seemed to have taken it from me, and they haven't even sold the thing. Funny how some galleries think they own your stuff.

god.. i just love encaustic paint.. just adds so much extra depth to a piece.. so how long did this take you to do?..

Yeah, I love the way encaustic can be layered so that you can see paint way down there. It took about a day to do. You see, this is actually a digital print, with encaustic. However, I do a great deal of over painting with the encaustic, but I don't have to spend too much time covering surface area, ...which is so boring.
