i like this painting a lot! it has something dark and mysterius, like the symbolists you mentioned. and the bodies are painted very alive

I love it, too... the atmosphere is worrisome, and I like the way you dealt with skin of characters. Beautiful stuff!
I wonder about the topics you choose for your canvas ; I'd like you to explain (when updating your journal for example) your approach of painting in general, and this one in particular... It could be great to understand your work, and not just to see it!

Thanks a lot, for your comments. I will try to explain my work in my journal. Since I work with a number of themes, my work tends to be somewhat confusing to others. Also, I tend to jump around, because I tend to get excited by other things, too many things, at once. Sometimes, I'm not sure what I am doing until a body of work is complete and I can see a general pattern. This piece, is "dark" in that old symbolist sense. I love the symbolists because their work is open ended, and esoteric, a bit like a dream, you may know what happened in a dream, but not why, or what the connection between things are.

Thanx for the answer! This is really important to me, because as painter, I'm lost in my production (and as you, I tend to get excited by a lot of others things). In fact, sometimes (even often), I wonder what's the sense of that, what's the meaning of painting, if I'm right to keep on, etc... but if I often want to give up (because I never know what will be the topic of the next one), there's something in my stomach (heart, brain? ) which tells me : you can't!! Then, you're right : this is just when a body of work is complete that you can see a general pattern. But now, I may be too young to see a general pattern in my stuff... even if I past a diploma in a fine art school (and I still wonder how I did!)
Thanks again for the answer, and congratulation for your work ; This is due to painters like you that there are young painters as me who wants to paint!
See you!
