Yes.
Coluans aren't exactly renowned for their appreciation of emotional attachment. But Brainy was kind of doomed from the start. Why did he even work to perfect time travel? To go back in time to meet Superboy. No other reason. Ever watch the LSH cartoon series from 2006? They played up Brainy's heavy bro-crushΒ on Kal-El big time.
My point? Querl has a terminal fascination with Kryptonians. And when that fascination morphed into actual doomed love with Kara...well!
