That's because both Espeon and Ruby Carbuncle are both based off a mythical creature named a "Carbuncle", there are actually quite a number of characters who look similar to their design since they're based off the same mythical creature

PokΓ©mon = Capture little animals in balls and train them to compete in gyms/contests ect.
Yu-Gi-Oh = Saving the world via a card game!

But they got the ideas of the monsters from Pokemon and if you watch if carefully then you'll be able to tell it IS a copy off of Pokemon.

Just because they both have monsters as the main theme doesn't make one a copy of the other, that's just...kinda silly Oo; I'm sure there are other shows out there that had monsters in them LONG before PokΓ©mon did.

A report? Oo; No I haven't, but I know enough about two of my favourite fandoms to know it's not true, where exactly did you learn this piece of information?
Basiclly you can't say it's a copy just cos they both have monsters, for it to of been a copy it would of had to of had a similar storyline which it definintly does not and similar characters, which again, does not.
Believe me, if Yugioh WAS considered a copy, the PokΓ©mon comany would of sued them a long time ago.
Something tells me the reason you keep insisiting this is because you don't like Yu-Gi-Oh :/

So let me get this straight, you got this information from sites you aren't linking me too and books I doubt you will ever tell me the name of. Sorry hun, but I don't quite believe your story, like I said, if it WAS a copy the creator of Yugioh would of been SUED by the Pokemon company a LONG time ago.
I think this is just something you're just wanting to see, unless of course you can give me more proof than "omg they both have monsters!!!" which, by the way, most of the monsters are very unique in design in BOTH shows and those that may have similarites are based off similar things that have nothing to do with either show, like I know Ruby Carbuncle is based off the Carbuncle: [link] to which I wouldn't be suprised that Espeon also has some design factors from this creature as well. So as much as I joke that it "looks like an espeon", I know for a fact it's not directly copied off it, Ruby and Espeon just happen to have some design features based on another creature.
Sorry, but PokΓ©mon isn't the center of all monster animes/games and other monster animes and such that came after it are too different in monster designs and storylines to be considered a copy and no amount of "but they are copies because I said so!!!" will change that :/ Hard facts and evidence changes that, which you have yet to show me.

Ruby Carbuncle? Is that a dub name of the Amethyst Cat? A mix between a Espeon and the Final Fantasy Carbuncle just because it has that ruby mark on its forehead.
