They solemnly swore upon our flag
To defend us and keep us free
But they live a life
One that we cannot see

They brace all the challenges
And keep pushing on strong
Showing the world their strength
And proving right from wrong

Their life is never easy
Death is never to far
Though their courage shows the way
Just like the northern star

They don't complain about there job
If they do, not aloud
Which is more than can be said of us
But its that, that keeps them proud

Their leadership is untouchable
Valiant and very true
And never look behind them
Only move on through

They witness horrific sights
Some they can't explain
They stand strong in their suit
But their pain will always remain

They hide in the shadows
Unseen by human eye
Await for what may come
Afraid that they will die

But death matters not
They know what they must do
To serve and protect the nation
And would gladly sacrifice to

The soldiers shows no boundaries
And fight until the end
But are careful and what they do
Life is to costly to spend

Yet they keep their heads held high
Eyes straight not down, heart full not hollow
To set an example to all
Ones that everyone should follow

Judgment and wisdom
Comes natural to them
And send their best to go
That march their battle hem

They make the ultimate sacrifices
In their defense for us all
Hearts like our shields
That strengthen, never fall

It seems they have no weakness
Marching regardless the cost
And fight with mind and soul
Never have they lost

On their armor shows their skills
Their honor in their name
From ranks to any medal
Their heart is their fame

In their arms they hold dear
They know what it is for
The weapon is for defense
The trigger is for war

They always come home heroes
Through victory or defeat
As long as we are safe
Their mission is complete

Their helmets show the wisdom
And the suit shows their honor
For when they're all together
The enemy is a goner

But what they all know most
Strength in numbers is the key
So long as they work together
They are guaranteed victory

When the time has finally come
They did their job all well
yet their heads still head high
Nothing made it fell

When the deed is done
And get to leave their place
And return home to their family
With a smile on their face
