In my little world he's cynical and sarcastic, but he used to be a bright-eyed adventurer like Sonic. His brother had a son named Jules and then Chuck's brother left him behind. So, Chuck raised his nephew alone for a few years trying to avoid him turning out like his deadbeat brother. But when Jules had Sonic, he dumped him on Chuck and ignored them. Chuck likes 80s metal and beer; he also loves inventing and gets along way better with kids than he does adults and will gladly tell you as much. Chuck used to be a pilot in the army for acorn kingdom but has long since focused on making blueprints since he's mostly too old to really move around too much without getting tired. He loves his niece and nephews and is especially affectionate with Tails who he adopted so when the rebellion ends and everyone moves back to Acorn Kingdom, Tails won't end up separated from Sonic since he's still only 14.
