well, i have to put something like that. it ticks me off when i see people who can't even smudge and cut a horse properly, and then try to attempt manes and tails. Just slow down, and to one thing at a time! it counts for detailing too. how do you expect to do it, if you cant cut out a horse? idk, am i to harsh maybe?

Haha, then you might hate me lol 'cause sometimes I just do the mane/tail first because I'm too lazy to cut the horse out. But then I cut the horse out and do the rest of it.

see, but you should never do that, because if the horse hasn't already been prepped (ligting etc.) the mane will be thrown off with lighting and balance

Haha, I know that. Sometimes I just play around with everything, like making a draft copy of the image you're going to make. and then I put the draft on one layer and use it a guide to what I want it to look like c:
