For my trade with of her lovely character, Malcata. She's an extinct species of lynx and looked like a ton of fun to draw, so I gave it a shot.

The pic kinda fought with me. Tried a new technique on the rocks, and failed. I like the pose and most of the way the character is colored (Though I suck immensely at coloring anything to do with clothing), but the background and such doesn't look all that great to me. Scanned even worse. In person the sky has a really fluffy, nice transition between the yellows and the grays, and those light parts of Malcata's body aren't so screamingly white. In actuality, her "white" parts are light cream and yellow. Oh, well. What can you do? I realized (Right after I finished inking, darn it! ) that the back of Malcata's top is actually different than that, as shown here: [link] I sure wish I had noticed that. I actually went with a back view like this because I wanted a good view of Malcata's adorable little tail. And I flipped one of her cool braids over her back so it wouldn't get hidden. Malcata's braids are half the fun! I think I went overboard with the spots, but I had a blast doing them. I also drew in the spear she's holding in this picture: [link]

There needs to be more Malcata fanart in the world. She's a really awesome character, designed by an awesome artist! Go give ~Psamophis some love!
