[[sorry for being gone so long, my new job has me working insane hours!]]this is my theory for why Lin and Tenzin probably didnt make it. I think she was injured in a way that will prevent her from having kids, she tried to talk to Tenzin about it and things got out of hand. I can see her being happy for him that Pema can give him what he wants but bitter because, those kids should be hers....

but my guess is lin didn't really want to have kids at the time at all. its possible now she regrets that, but it seems more like shes not exactly the motherly type.

It is pretty obvious that Lin still hold feelings for Tenzin. In some ways, I think he still loves her as well but loves Pema too. Pretty complicated, but that's my theory. It is also my headcanon is that the two broke up is that Lin is unable to fertilize an egg, she can't have any kids. Of course she let Tenzin go because he has a duty to repopulate his race--though I find it kind of stupid because couldn't Kya and Bumi do the same?
I know Bumi is a non-bender while Kya is a waterbender, but don't they carry that airbending trait?
Anyways, beautiful art; it held a lot of emotions. It made me tear up.

I get what you're saying, but I dont think she just 'let him go' basically to repopulate, because yea Kya and Bumi both have the DNA too. Remember she tried to put Pema in jail haha, She probably let go because she knew he wanted something she could never give him, a peaceful family life. But she still loves him, and you can tell he still cares for her as well.

My theory for why Linzin didn't happen was because Lin wasn't the type of woman to repopulate a race close to extinction, nevertheless actually care for children. Although I ship Linzin, Tenma is the more productive pairing.

That makes me question even further. If this theory was indeed, true, then would that confirm the deadline of the Bei Fong family? I kinda chuckle at the thought of Lin ramming into a wall vagina-first screaming, "NOT THE OVARIES!".

This is a realistic explanation. I had a feeling that when Tenzin said, "We had different goals in life," he was talking about kids. I always thought Lin simply didn't want kids, I sure don't, but I guess this makes sense, too.

It's a great theory but that makes Tenzin into a real bad guy. You break up with your girl just because she can't get pregnant, it's understandable, he needs to have someone to pass airbending genes too, but it's just really sad.

Good theory...well, bad theory...well, I mean its a good idea because that would explain a lot of things but a bad idea for Lin because she's awesome and I wouldn't want that to happen but it's a good thought because it makes sense and I'm not explaining this right *sigh* Let's start over...great job, I love this!
