Description Update: After taking the feedback from the comparison deviation I submitted (which is now deleted), I've changed the look of the battle system. Most of the scanlines are gone, I've added curved corners and also the message/controls box is a lot smaller. This now means, as shown in the right screen, that large sprites can fit.

What do you think?

XENOTIME's new battle UI. As you can see, it's taken advantage of the wide-screen resolution well, by filling up the space with the enemy and player trainers. There are also no bits for the PokΓ©mon to stand on, since all of the backgrounds I'm using have a large area of ground like here. I'm going to change the bit where it says "What will MUDKIP do?" etc soon. Any suggestions for that?

the names of the pokemons are written in white, and if there's a bright backgroung the names will blend(?) with it...

I assume you mean how did I get the ratio, not how I changed the resolution in the scripts? I just did some maths to figure out how wide it would need to be to be 16:9.

I'm sure figuring out the dimensions wasn't all too difficult :3

Well basically, locate the script sprite resizer, and then scroll down it until you find the values of 480x320 together (or at least they're that by default. Just change those to change the resolution.

Yep, the whole time. I'm thinking of getting some animations for them so they aren't just standing there like a statue.

I hope you don't mind if I also ask how you moved around the HP bars and sprites in the battle as well...I'm having a bit of trouble locating where in the script I do that...

Sorry, I honestly can't remember. It took a lot of trial and error to get right. But generally, if you check how many pixels it is from the bottom, and then search for that, you should be able to find it.
