Description 2009

18" x 18"

Water color pigments, gold pen, gold leaf, nail polish, liquid acrylic...

Starting to work my way into bigger canvases using the same method as I do with the smaller ones. I like how this one turned out. I kept trying to figure out what to call it - I finally thought that it looks like something time forgot, or time missed. Or maybe it is something in your back yard. I dunno.

I like how this one looks like a mix between a little bit of fire, blood, and the glow of the sunset, with hints of the nightfall creeping in from the right side of the artwork.

I think your methods made a nice transition onto a larger canvas. Definitely cool to see even more depth and textures in your work.
Another great one!

The bigger canvas works well I think. Forces the brushwork to be more daring in certain places.

I do see a torso. Completely unintentional in this one. There is a figure of a woman in Pause.

I will be talking to Neil deGrasse Tyson this week, along with `Senecal . I am very excited about that! It went from being an email interview to a phone interview. We are discussing Pluto and his new book The Pluto Files.

We interviewed Dr. Tyson today. Wow. What an amazing person he is! He has a great sense of humor balanced with that great intelligence. We are using the recording as a podcast because he asked why not! So, once it is ready I will share it with you.

I'd love to hear your interview - thank you. Another person, physicist, who does great interviews about 'string theory' is Jim Gates, University of Maryland. In addition to being a great scientist, communicator, he is a role model for African Americans.
