Found this early, unfinished version of one of my drawings (then called "Goodbye"). It's funny to see what changed and what stayed the same in it.Here's the final version: [link]

I think I like the one more, but this one has some really nice details. I love his posture here - it's very expressive. I like the slight tilt of his back and head, they show perfectly the feelings.

Wow! It's weird, but it really DOES look different. I don't know why. I love the other one to death, but I realized I love this one even more. It's hard to explain, but it has even more feeling in it. Wonderful... I could just stare at it all day.

i think since this one is closer to Harry, you feel more involved in the drawing. I purposely pulled us back in the newer one because I learned a trick in school about treating your drawings as if they were real people. And if a real person is having an emotional moment (nostalgia in particular), you usually pull back and let them experience it on their own without getting in their face.
Glad you like this one, though! I completely forgot about this version until I found it in my files.
