Let's face it. Her hair would not be blowing majestically, mascara would not stay on her eyelashes and there would be icky, smelly kelp in that water. O_oSeriously, though, I love Disney movies. I also like making fun of them.
I never before appreciated just how difficult it was to draw Ariel.

*nods* it was a decent movie - not theater quality, maybe, but better than most sequels or prequels that come through disney.
But i just loved that scene - that split second moment where she's on a rock, and the water splashes behind... and drenches her, before she yells "go away!" at the seagull.

When I got older, I wondered why this never happened. You try and imitate it in the water yourself, and the waves WILL slap you in the back and almost make you crack you head open on the rock- or push you off.
