They are so going to mess up this scene in the film! Did you see the trailer? Why couldn't they do it as you painted it? At night. With a nice fire. And a defenceless Harry.

Well, the movie doesn't look quite how it was described in the book, but it looks like they'll get the emotion right. That's all I care about. But I'm glad you like the drawing! I tried to stay true to the chapter.

Beautiful and sad. I like how you depict the avada kedavra spell in panel 8, and the reflections in Harry's glasses in the second-to-last panel. And the quote from the Three Brothers fits perfectly with the mood.

As soon as I first read this part of the chapter, I immediately thought of the Tale of the Three Brothers. It just fit so beautifully.

Thank you! I'm actually pretty interested to see how they do this in the movie. This chapter was the best in the series and was really emotional, so I doubt it will be as awesome as the book. But still, it'll be cool to see.

I'm interested in how they do it too - I'm pretty hopeful, actually, the trailers made it seem like the DH movies are going to actually be good [as opposed to the 5th and 6th movies, which sucked

Thank you! I don't like drawing Voldemort--he's hard. But I figured if Tom Riddle was supposed to be handsome, then a bit of that must still be present in Voldemort. He'd have to have some way to charm people to his side. I really like Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort.
