Description
All the things I'm supposed to be working on for people, and I'm monkeying around with style experiments? Yeah, pretty much. I wanted to try doing something without lines at all, so it would look softer and more like a painting. It does look softer, but also very digitally smooth. Filters could fix that, but I'd rather do it by hand.

Although there's a lot I'd do differently next time, I learned loads from this, so as an experiment it was worthwhile, and it turned out OK. I much prefer working on paper though, and having some nice smooth black lines to make the image pop. The initial sketch was purposely less toony for this reason as well.

As for the story in this one, after a long day of annoying her friends and battling the DPT for great justice, Miyuki tries to get some sleep, only to be awakened by a noise in the first purple light of dawn. Surreptitiously drawing her sword and covering her nakedness with a sheet, she goes to investigate and finds... velociraptors playing poker? Probably so.
