My Knobs

Knobs are fairly common,
you can find them far and wide.
But my knobs are really special,
and I'm going to tell you why.

First, I'll share a little background
about the knobs themselves.
and then we can get down to why
you can't find mine on the shelves.

The average knob is hard and round
with a slight sheen in the light.
And they always provide a firm grip
for entrance late at night.

Now mine aren't quite designer
and they're not a well-known brand.
But in comparison to others,
they're a quite a delight on the hand

Because nothing is as exciting
as your first touch of a knob.
And when you've found the right one
the replacements just don't do the job.

After I grew weary of the
constant upkeep of mine,
I ordered my new knobs
from a specialist store online.

The day they came, I cried with joy
and fainted near dead on the grass.
Finally, my life was wholly complete.
At last my knobs were brass.
