Wow, these look really interesting. Also you might want to explain now if there's sth I should know? If it's no trouble. These tattoos look cool through.

I would love to explain it to you

Well, Roy is a alchemy-apprentice and Riza is the daughter of his tutor.

He already  teached Roy a lot about alchemy as my story started.  His tutor also told him about a secret research he worked on.  But he didn´t show it to Roy because he thought that it´s too dangerous and  Roy can´t handle that.  He told him that maybe his daughter someday will show him his research (no one other knows about this).

He died shortly  after that and Riza decided to show Roy the secret research:  it´s tatooed on her back. The alchemists in the “Full Metal Alchemist” series use these circles to control the “flow of energy”. With that they can use alchemy. The circle on Rizas back is a fire-alchemy circle.  After Roy learned to control the fire he destroys the research (yeah … you can guess now how he did that …) and he and Riza are the only ones that knowing how the fire-control works. They are practically bound to each other through this knowledge.

It is one of the best I know. The human psyche is wonderful described, there is a lot of sadness but also overcoming difficult pasts and memories and moving forward (thanks to friends and the hope that keeps you walking). It´s a very life-affirming show even if there is a lot of angst.

I concur; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an excellent series. The plot is an epic and fairly slow-moving one and there are a lot of excellent principal and secondary characters, many of them full-fledged adults, that make the cast an amazing one. The animation for fight scenes is fantastic and apart from humor introduced by anime tropes the emotional tone is pretty consistent.
