This is an entry for 's Naruto Holiday Pairing Contest. I chose the peppermint candy. It's only natural since ChouIno fans are all about the swirls
Just think of Ino teasing him like this: "Chouji, if I stay with you, should I get tattoos?"
Chouji's first thought would be : 'Why is she wasting candy on her face instead of putting it in her mouth?' Then her words sink in... "Ino, if you stay with me you can have anything you want."
I realized that this piece hinged on the hands with the peppermints being done reaonable well so I had *ladyviolathornhaven pose for me with her fingers holding peppermint to her cheeks several different ways. One of the peppermints popped off her face and landed in her water glass, we stood there like idiots, staring at it for a good minute. In short order we recovered our senses and got back to the mini photo session. This is the first time I went the extra mile on hands (I really hate drawing them...Have I said that before?)
Weird thing is I was gunning for the original deadline of 1/10/10 and I made it!!! Only now as I was double checking
the information I find the deadline was extended to 1/20/10!! So I did it, I made my first deadline!

I did one last year too and had like four entries, so this year I thought bigger and since I helped Peteiswhatweaimfor as a judge in his last contest I didn't feel bad asking for his help. And I was completely staggered at the amount of hits to my profile/watchers/faves on my work in the days following their advertisements.
And there really aren't enough Naruto themed contests out there. I'll probably be making this in to an annual thing.

Mmmm peppermint. I agree with Chouji. Peppermint should go into your mouth.I really like the color in this. I now it just two colors but green and read all was make me happy. Oh I say yes for Ino get tatoos and maybe....dame you gave me a idea.I need to think.

It was a holiday themed contest so I thought red & green would be good as clothing colors. Yeah now I've got to go back and fix my typos on the piece. My Beta has already nailed me for it.

Yeah, the deviation upload doesn't seem to have the same spell check ability as these response boxes do so I missed it to.

Since the deadline for the contest was just extended...you could go for it...with your other fave pairing. There's got to be something as clever to suit them.
