Description
So some of you might have seen my Tiniest Breakfast submission from yesterday:I received a lot of comments thinking it was real and I felt bad. Then I received a comment on Tumblr that they thought something this small couldn't be possible. I decided to see if that, in fact, was true. Turns out it can be done!
I believe this would be 1:48 scale. The plate and food are all handmade from polymer clay. It took just under 45 minutes to finish, and no, it wasn't any more difficult to do than my 1:12 miniatures.
The last picture is the 1:12 plate of breakfast and the giant penny I used yesterday.

Imagine how hard it would be... Since, you know, skin has all of those weird folds in it in just one square inch....

Do you use jeweler's tools, or are you actually a very small elf?

Haha, not an elf, and I just used what I usually use - a needle tool, tin foil, and my hands.

PepperTreeArt In reply to VividWanderer [2014-04-03 23:10:59 +0000 UTC]
It actually wasn't that hard. The only thing that gave me issues was trying to get the proportions right.

when i see tiny things like this or those tiny crochet things that fit on the tip of your finger they look hard and look hard on your eyes when you do them x~x

Oh man, I couldn't even imagine making some of the tiny crochet items I've seen. I have enough issues with regular sized crochet! >.<

Hey,maybe the penny is a small, real penny but I think your hands are minimised. I still can't believe a human can make this.Β

The joke with Β the giant penny is awesome. The internet has no sense of humor. I once did the same joke with a giant penny next to a six week old kitten in a picture I sent to my mom that we had he world's tiniest cat. Se fell or it too. Love you work and keep having fun despite the internet.

PepperTreeArt In reply to DedHampster [2014-04-03 03:34:01 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! It was fun and didn't cause anyone distress (like joking that you're pregnant, someone died, etc), so I went for it. Too bad I can't do it again since people will be on to me. lol
